Understanding open source

When you contribute to an open source project here at World Lab, you retain the copyright over your contribution and grant a license to everyone else to use it freely according to the license terms.

This means you own what you create during your Initial Contribution Phase.

We use the highly-permissive MIT open source license and require the signing of the Apache CLA (slightly modified) and other agreements in order to protect users of your work.
